Since its launch in 2006, more than 100,000 businesses have signed up for the B Corp Impact Assessment, yet only 3,500 have been certified which is a testament to its extremely high standards. The certification allows you to spot the brands that have an incredible ethos and are continually striving to do things better – for the planet and the people. B Corps is a global system of accreditation measuring in fine detail, a business’s effect on the environment, the community, their employees, their governance, and how they work with their customers. With a newly increased score of 110.5 we still hold the highest score in the industry.

Sustainability is very important to us at pie which is why our environmental vision is to construct and deliver events in such a way as to minimise the effect on the environment without increasing costs to the client or participant and without reducing the events ability to challenge and excite participants to generate funds for charities where relevant. This is why we:

• Replaced all single-use dishes and cutlery with compostable alternatives to reduce waste.
• Provide free reusable water bottles.
• Encourage participants to offset their travel.
• Offer vegetarian and vegan food options and avoid fish and seafood on our menus where possible.
• Swapped physical information given out on an event to a digital format.
• Partner with organisations collecting unwanted/damaged/worn-out sports apparel.
• Donate leftover food to local organisations and our community.
