Cyclists arrive early to register with the pie crew. After a welcome speech and safety briefing, it’s time to hit the road in your guided groups for the 125km ride to Carmarthen. After a hilly day, the hotel will be a welcome sight, along with dinner in the evening!
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel, before setting off for the second day in the saddle! Today is a ride of two halves, with 65km to complete in the morning, before boarding the ferry to Ireland in the afternoon. Once in Ireland, it’s just a short 10km ride to the hotel.
Our third day in the saddle sees us head away from the coast and into the beautiful countryside of Ireland. A gentle ride in the morning gets our legs going before we climb the main hill of the day – Mount Leinster. After a hearty lunch, we continue our journey towards Abbeyleix and the hotel.
The final day! We head east towards the beautiful Wicklow Mountains National Park, gradually climbing as we get closer. The highlight of the day is an ascent up onto the Moors and over Sally Gap, before the final descent down to Dublin. We may event stop off at the Guinness Storehouse to round off a fantastic trip!
A celebratory meal will be provided at the hotel, before you sample more of the famous Irish hospitality!
You are free to explore the sights and sounds of Dublin before returning home. Your bikes will be returned back to Cardiff that evening if required.
