Pre-Event
We take the afternoon ferry from Nice, arriving into Bastia in time for dinner. Our crew will be on hand to welcome you and help build bikes etc.
Day 1 – Bastia to L’Île Rousse, 104km / 121km
The ride begins with a 20km flat spin along the side of the Biguglia Nature Reserve, before heading away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and inland towards the mountains. After 50km of gentle climbing, we reach the top of the Col de San Colombano (the highest point of the trip@ 691m), before the 23km descent into the beach resort of L’Île Rousse.
Day 2 – L’Île Rousse to Ota Porto 92km / 114km
Breath-taking (literally) scenery awaits as we head south through a variety of terrain. The big climb of the day is the Col de Marsolinu – 11km and max gradient of 12%. You’ll be pleased to know that the descent is just as long! The Col de Palmarella is the final (and arguably most picturesque) climb of the day, before we descend down into the impossibly beautiful village of Ota Porto for the night.
Day 3 – Ota Porto to Ajaccio 82km / 98km
Our final day is simply spectacular. Alternating between mountain passes and coastal roads, you can see why the Tour de France had to come to Corsica. As we gradually make our way back into civilisation, the 18km final descent will give you a chance to reflect on a fantastic ride, topped off with a wonderful celebration meal that evening.
