Day 1 – London to Harwich
We begin the day with a welcome and safety briefing at your chosen start location, before departing London in our guided groups, heading east towards the coast. We pass through some of the major attractions in London, such as Tower Bridge, Victoria Park and the Olympic Village.
It won’t take long before all the urban riding is behind us and we can enjoy more rural countryside and quiet cycling all the way though quiet Essex villages to Harwich. There will be three refreshment stops during the day to keep everyone fuelled for the journey.
The days riding finishes in Harwich next to the ferry terminal, where snacks will be provided before we board the ferry. Our support crew will take care of our bikes as we walk onto the ferry in time for dinner. Accommodation provided in en-suite cabins for the overnight crossing.
Day 2 – Hook of Holland to Bruges
Early morning arrival into Holland after an energising breakfast on the ferry. We then follow part of the North Sea cycle route south as we make our way out of Holland and towards the province of Zeeland via the first mini ferry of the day.
We cross over into Zeeland and cycle through some of the flattest parts of The Netherlands. We join several cycle paths as we ride through the several islands that make up Zeeland and Middleberg.
There is one final ferry in the afternoon, before we ride on into Bruges and pass gothic buildings that have made it a UNESCO World Heritage site. We ride into the centre and celebrate our achievements underneath the Belfry of Bruges, a medieval bell tower on the market square. That evening we will enjoy a celebration meal at a nearby restaurant.
Day 3 – Return home
Travel home via the Eurostar back to the UK.
