A three day ride from London to Paris, cycling through the beautiful scenery of southern England and North-West France. The route provides the perfect mix of challenge and achievability, making it ideal for a sponsored bike ride, or ‘one to tick off the list’ with a group of fellow cyclists.
We cycle from London to Portsmouth, before boarding the ferry over to France and cycling from Caen to Paris! For those looking to end with a challenge, we offer the option of a 100-mile final day.
We meet early on Day 1 for a light breakfast and introductory briefing. There will be plenty of opportunity to meet your guides and the rest of your group before setting off on your ride to Portsmouth. Once on the road, we soon emerge out of the hustle and bustle of the city, and into the pretty villages of the North and South Downs.
It’s (mostly) all downhill from the afternoon tea stop, before arriving into Portsmouth in time for a shower and dinner at a local hotel / restaurant. We then transfer to the ferry terminal, ready to board the overnight ferry to France.
We arrive early into France and disembark the ferry before having breakfast in the ferry terminal. After a short briefing, we head off along a cycle path into the French countryside, not forgetting to ride on the right side of the road! The remainder of the day is spent cycling past tiny hamlets, bubbling brooks, “villes fleuries” and farmhouses, before arriving at our overnight stop in Evreux.
Our final day! We pass fields of sunflower and corn, whilst stopping for refreshments in beautiful tranquil villages. The Palace of Versailles is our last stop before embarking on the final stage of the ride into Paris and the Eiffel Tower. Tonight, we toast your achievement at a fabulous celebration meal. Overnight accommodation is provided in Paris.
You are free to take the following morning at your leisure, before boarding the Eurostar back to London in the afternoon. Your bikes will be ready for you to collect upon arrival at St Pancras.
