Cyclists take an evening trip to Paris on the Eurostar. Your bikes will be driven out to France by our support crew, and so all you need to worry about is getting to the station on time!
Your pie event manager will meet you upon your arrival in Paris, and you will have the opportunity to meet the rest of the crew over dinner. You will have a short briefing, in preparation for the following day.
After a hearty breakfast, we make our way out of Paris, along tree-lined avenues and past famous sights such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Before you know it, we are cycling though the Bois de Boulogne and are well on our way to Versailles.
After a quick pit-stop, we continue our way out of Paris, heading west towards the town of Evreux. There are three refreshment stops on the route, each a welcome sight as we gradually get into the daily routine of riding.
That evening, dinner is taken in a local restaurant, and there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss the day’s events over a drink or two.
We start the day with a short climb, and then it’s relatively flat to the first refreshment stop of the day. From here, there is a short, sharp downhill, before the climb up to lunch. You’ll be pleased to know that most of the hard work is done for the day, as we gradually begin to descend towards the coast and port of Caen.
There will be opportunity to have a shower and get changed before a lovely evening meal as we wait to board the overnight ferry to Portsmouth.
We rise early as the ferry arrives into Portsmouth and we begin our last day in the saddle. Whilst not the longest day in terms of distance, it is the hilliest as our route takes us across the North and South Downs, and through the Surrey Hills.
We pass through quaint villages and along charming country lanes as we make our way towards London. The final destination point is up to you, with our route entering London from the South West and past the famous sights of Hampton Court, Richmond Park, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace…. The list goes on!
That evening, we will hold a celebration meal where friends and family are welcome to toast your achievement and listen to tales of the past three days.
You will be free to enjoy the sights of London at your leisure.
