Day 1 Travel
Challengers arrive at the hotel at their leisure. You’ll have a chance to register with the pie team and meet your guides. If you need a bike, you’ll move through to the bike fit, where our guides will make sure everything is set up for you.
Day 2
We wake for an early breakfast before the safety briefing. Again our crew will be on hand for any last minute issues / bike fits.
Our route starts off on bikes with a challenging climb out of Matlock and up into the Peak District National Park, the first National Park in the UK. It soon flattens out and continues across the rural and rounded landscape.
A morning hike option is also available for those not wanting to ride.
A mid-ride refreshment stop will be provided for all cyclists, before continuing our way west towards the transition zone in the village of Hartington.
There’s time for a spot of lunch, and then we swap two wheels for two feet as we begin the next stage of the Challenge – the afternoon hike.
Our trek guides will take over from this point a
nd lead you through the Peak District towards the village of Ilam. Our route takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of the National Park, finishing with Dove Dale and celebratory drinks at a fabulous National Trust property. We then hop onto coaches back to the hotel in time for a wonderful celebratory meal.
