Day 1
We fly in to Geneva and catch the transfer to Yverdon-les-Bains in the afternoon. On arrival you’ll register for the event with the pie crew, followed by a safety briefing over lunch. We’ll then divide up into our guided groups, and head out for a short warm up ride to get the legs going. Dinner is taken at the hotel in the evening.
Day 2
We leave Yverdon-les-Bains and start cycling south towards the Col du Marchairuz in the Jura Mountains. The descent allows us to catch our breath before we have lunch on the Lac de Joux, the largest lake in Switzerland above 1,000m. After refuelling we cross the boarder into France for the afternoon to ride up the Col de Landoz-Neuve. Once back in Switzerland it is a short ride to the hotel in Les Rasses for dinner.
Day 3
There are a few route options today. We can ride towards Neuchatel, the largest lake located entirely in Switzerland, before catching the ferry across; or we can cycle around the lake…! Another option is cycle up towards the Col de Chasseral, a high mountain pass at over 1500m. All route options finish at the hotel in Gruyeres, and offer a chance to sample some of the famous local cheeses over dinner.
Day 4
The final day is not for the faint hearted. The morning starts with a gentle climb up Col de Mosses, at which point we have the option of descending back down again or pushing on up the Col du Pillon. It’s then 25km downhill to the hotel. For those who would like to prove themselves, there is the option of including the Col de la Criox which tops out at over 1700m. We celebrate our achievements that night at a wonderful meal.
Day 5
Free day to explore Gstaad before catching the transfer to back to Geneva airport.
