Cyclists make their way to the hotel in Whitehaven in time to register with the pie crew. Our guides will be on hand to check your bikes and help with any last minute mechanical issues.
Following a welcome speech and safety briefing, you’ll set off in your guided groups heading into the hills and the majestic Lake District. Today is the shortest day in terms of distance, but we make up for this in the climbing! Our support crew will have your luggage ready on arrival at the hotel, and you will have time to get changed and have a shower before the evening meal.
We continue our journey eastwards and make our way out of the Lake District and into the Yorkshire Dales. The biggest climb of the day is around 50km in, but thankfully its (mostly) downhill from there. Again, hotel accommodation and an evening meal will be provided.
We head upwards into the North York Moors, cycling along undulating terrain, with a few steeper hills thrown in for good measure! The sea air begins to fill your lungs as we get ever closer to the coast, and the final 6km is downhill all the way to the sea! After some well-deserved celebrations, it’s a short ride to the hotel, where a fantastic celebration meal awaits.
You are free to travel home. A coach (and bike) transfer back to Whitehaven will be arranged according to demand.
