Great British Care Cycle Relay 2026 - Meet the Team

Having hosted a mid-ride stop in 2025, Capel Grange Care Home in Newport has stepped up a level and this year is hosting a start & finish. Providing high-quality, person-centric care, Capel Grange provides nursing care for a variety of different needs, including dementia and end-of-life care.

Staffed by highly experienced Registered Nurses and Care Assistants providing 24-hour support, the most recent inspection by the Care Inspectorate for Wales was full of praise and positive observations about the care and the staff providing it.

It is great to have a care home return to the care homes relay and especially encouraging to see one step up to hosting a stage. I hope you all get the opportunity to take a look at the home and meet some of the incredible staff.

With the start of the relay fast approaching, there has never been a better time to get out cycling and bring attention to the charity that you are all raising funds for. Photos of your rides and even better, putting the ride stats on social media are both great ways to let friends and followers know what you are doing and hopefully encourage them to donate.

For more information on the ride, visit our page: https://www.championingsocialcare.org.uk/.

The relay aims to raise awareness and the profile of care in our communities, so there is no registration fee. We would love it if you could commit to raising £100 to support Championing Social Care’s work – there’s a GoFundMe page set up, and we can help you promote it.
