Kevin joins us with a background of working in operating theatre anaesthetics and emergency departments, and now enjoys working mainly as an Austere and Remote Environment Medic.
Growing up on the family farm, service in the Army Reserve and a lifetime spent camping and walking in the hills, instilled a love of working outdoors in all weathers, which comes in handy when setting up a medic post in a tent on a mountain top or working from the back of a Land Rover on events.
Kevin currently provides medical support for a wide range of activities, including international level sporting events, ultra-marathons, construction site working, moto-x, and arduous team building events in mountainous terrain.
Overseas work includes supporting cycling and motorsports teams, as well as aeromedical repatriation and a recent deployment to Iraq as part of a frontline trauma team.
A recent addition to the PIE team, Kevin has enjoyed working on this years events so much that he has dusted off his own bike which previously lay dormant in his barn, but he assures us he is quite happy in the support van and has no bike guide aspirations.
