Matt Rogers

Matt began his cycling career at the age of 14, progressing rapidly through the Juvenile and Junior ranks before representing Great Britain internationally across Northern Europe at both junior and senior level. At 18, he moved to Belgium and the Netherlands to race full-time, spending consecutive years competing in some of Europe’s toughest cycling environments and remaining within the upper elite ranks for more than a decade.

Throughout his career, Matt secured strong results in some of the biggest single-day and stage races in Europe, including the Tour of Ireland and several prestigious amateur editions of the Spring Classics. In 1992, he signed his first major contract with Team Energy, competing across Northern Europe at an elite level alongside emerging talents such as a young Dave Millar. During this period, the team achieved consecutive National Championship Road Race victories in the UK while competing extensively on the semi-professional international circuit.

In 1999, Matt signed for the Italian outfit Amore & Vita, a top-tier international team competing at the highest level of the sport on the global stage.

Since retiring from professional racing in 2002, Matt has remained deeply connected to cycling. He continues to ride regularly, lead club runs, and share the skills, discipline, and racecraft developed during his years in the professional peloton, while still maintaining a high level of personal fitness.
