Tom Woods
Tom has been riding his bike since childhood with his first adventure at 16 when he and a friend attached camping gear to their bikes and rode down to the South coast – that was in the days before lycra, helmets and indexed gears. A couple of years later they completed Lands End to John o’Groats staying in Youth hostels.
Since then, Tom has had many more cycling adventures with and without a tent. He traveled to Ireland, the Alps, Pyrenees, Picos de Europa, India and China. Although he has completed well known sportives such as the Etape du Tour in 2010 and Ride across Britain in 2011 he now prefers cycling in much smaller groups. His favourite places to cycle/camp are now the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and King Alfred Way.
